The Past is the Past

7. The Future of Digital Analytics

The Past is the Past…

The future for digital analytics seems to be ever changing and evolving with the advancements we see every day in technology. Looking back at 2016, that year was mainly revolved around predictive analytics, big data, emerging platforms, system integration and new tools. Now things are changing in more than one way.  Analytics are no longer about only helping organizations make better decisions but providing the foundation for better business models of the future. Now analytics are important for customers and decision makers. When technology rises forward every day the expectations for data analytics increase as well so it is important to match that.  Organizations now know exactly who we are, what we have bought, what we might like, and what we will like in the future. Recommendations based off of purchase analytics needs to be perfect in order for organizations to maximize off of analytics. The future of analytics holds more optimized customer experiences through many methods. Analytics will now be focused on retaining good customers rather than focusing on why some have left. Every day we go on Instagram or Facebook and see products that appeal to us or products that we have already purchased. This is extremely important and accurate information that is derived from analytics. Into the future we will see more and more ways to harvest this data that helps us describe our consumer so accurately.
